What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are single strands of mink, synthetic silk or faux mink which are used to enhance the length, curl, thickness and fullness of the natural lash. The extensions come in a variety of lengths, curls, thickness and materials such as mink, faux mink and synthetic silk. The extensions are bonded to the natural lash using the 1:1 technique with adhesive. A seamless application will have everyone asking you “are those your real eyelashes!?”

Each extension is placed 1-3mm away from the lash line, NEVER touching the skin or neighboring eyelashes.  

How long does the application take?

A full set of lashes can take anywhere between 2:30-3:30hrs depending to the amount of natural lashes you have and also to ensure quality of work. The average person has between 90-200 eyelashes per eye (some more, some less) and we aim for 90-100% for every full set ensuring none of your lashes are stuck together. Most clients use this opportunity to relax and have a lash nap.

How long do they last?

They last between 4-6 weeks depending on aftercare, natural lash growth cycle, so you look glam and ready to go 24/7 even without makeup! To avoid them looking sparse, infills are required.

I have never had lash extensions; how do I know what to choose?

At your appointment you will have a consultation and will be shown the different lengths, curls, and thickness. I will explain my recommendations to you based on the health of your natural lashes and the shape of your eyes whilst taking into account any desires you may have.

The beauty of lash extensions is that every set is bespoke, so you always have the option adjust your sets at your fills.

What are the benefits of getting eyelash extensions?

With eyelash extensions you are able to roll out of bed looking glam and ready to go. The extensions are semi-permanent so they last some time. You get to say goodbye to struggle of applying falsies and wiping off mascara after a long day, lash extensions will have you selfie ready and looking great 24/7 with ease. I love my lashes so much how do I maintain them?

To keep you lashes fluffy and full infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks, as long as 40% of the eyelash extensions are remaining. Each natural lash grows and sheds at different rates so at you fills outgrown lashes will be removed and replaced with a new extension and any new lashes will be lashed. It is important to keep them clean by washing and brushing them daily to prevent the buildup of oil and debris. Keeping them clean increases the longevity.

Do they hurt?

Not at all, having eyelash extensions should be a pain free experience. They should feel extremely light weight and cause you no discomfort. Wearing lashes that are too heavy for your natural lashes can cause discomfort.

Can they damage my natural eyelashes?

If they are applied correctly, with each eyelash being isolated well then and only a small amount of adhesive is being used (a little goes a long way), then no, they will not damage your lashes at all. On the flip side, if you are wearing lashes that are too long or too thick for you and too much adhesive is being used then, eventually that will cause damage. It is the responsibility of you lash tech to advise you on what is suitable for your natural lashes.

A £10 non refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments.
In the event of a cancellation the deposit can be transferred to another available appointment if notice to reschedule is given within 48 hours.
The £10 deposit will go towards the final price of your service.
